Indian Anthropologist: Editorial Committee



Nilika Mehrotra is currently Professor in the Centre for the Study of Social Systems, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. She also taught at Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi, and Delhi School of Economics in the 1990s. She was awarded Fulbright- Nehru Senior Research Fellow 2013-2014 at University of California, Berkley, USA. Her Research Interests include - Gender and Development, Tribal Studies, Disability Studies and Ethnographic methods. She has completed numerous projects funded by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India, Fulbright Nehru Fellowship, UPOE, JNU etc. She has also evaluated Micro Planning processes in tribal villages.

SUMIT SAURABH SRIVASTAVA is currently an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Development Studies, University of Allahabad. Prior to that he taught Sociology at the Government Degree College, Jakhini (Raja Talab), [affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith] Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. He is an alumnus of JNU. He was awarded M.N. Srinivas Young Sociologist Award 2015 by the Indian Sociological Society, New Delhi. MAHIMA NAYAR is a trained psychiatric social worker and an independent researcher working in the areas of disability, mental health, women, children, and families. She worked as Assistant Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. She has also worked extensively with survivors of trafficking (women and children), women facing domestic violence and survivors of sexual assault, persons with psychosocial disabilities and their families. She has been a research consultant for several projects even at the national level.
